Teeing up for Cancer Care

It was fair weather on the fairway for the many happy golfers at the second annual White Coat Golf Classic, proudly sponsored by NCI, on Tuesday, June 18, at the Loch March Golf and Country Club. For the second year in a row, the golf tournament successfully raised funds to support cancer care in our community. Participants enjoyed a BBQ lunch before the shotgun start, and the 18-hole game was followed by a dinner and a silent auction filled with fabulous prizes.

The White Coat Golf Classic could not have happened without the outstanding commitment and tireless efforts of the volunteer committee who organized the event. Among those who sat on the committee was Tracy Power, Director, PMO Application Development, Innovapost, who is a dedicated, long-standing volunteer with The Ottawa Hospital Foundation.

“I have directly benefited from the great work that the Ottawa Hospital Foundation does, and I felt the need to express my thanks and share my story, that’s why I wanted to be involved in the White Coat Classic last year,” says Tracy. “I received ongoing support and service from the Ottawa Hospital and will be forever grateful for the quality of care that they provided, so I decided to be involved in the golf tournament again this year and will be for many years to come.”
