Telesat employees are making a difference in patient care

Since 2010, Telesat and its employees have raised nearly $100,000 for The Ottawa Hospital through their annual workplace campaign. Despite this incredible contribution, Telesat employees were looking for more ways to make an even greater impact on health care in our community. That’s why, for the past two years, Telesat employees have also participated in The Ottawa Hospital Foundation’s Ride the Rideau, the region’s largest cancer research fundraiser. Both years, the Telesat team has ranked in the top ten teams!

The Ottawa Hospital Foundation is very grateful for the generosity and teamwork shown by Telesat employees. In four short years, they have made a momentous impact on patient care in our community through their successful workplace campaigns and their participation in Ride the Rideau. Because of their generous support, The Ottawa Hospital is able to provide world-class care to its many patients in our region.

The Telesat team ranked in the top ten for Ride the Rideau. On October 30, Pat Enright, Vice- President, Network Operations, accepted an award on behalf of the Telesat cycling team in honour of their outstanding fundraising achievements.
