Thermo Fisher Scientific receives Outstanding Employee Campaign Award

Thermo Fisher Scientific has been a valued supporter of The Ottawa Hospital since 2003. Throughout the years, staff have contributed to various hospital priorities including the Eye Institute, the expansion of The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre, and the Centre for Innovative Cancer Research.

In 2007 Thermo Fisher Scientific set a five-year goal of raising $100,000 in support of The Ottawa Hospital. Employee generosity, corporate matching, as well as gifts in kind, paved the way for an outstanding result: more than $200,000 donated to The Ottawa Hospital.

We are grateful for this ongoing partnership and were thrilled to honour and recognize such generosity by awarding Thermo Fisher Scientific as this year’s Outstanding Employee Campaign during our Behind the Scenes event in October.

Shortly after, Thermo Fisher Scientific launched its 2012 workplace campaign which will support Regenerative Medicine Research. The campaign kicked off with a presentation by Dr. Rudnicki, Senior Scientist and the Director of the Regenerative Medicine Program and the Sprott Centre for Stem Cell Research at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute.

Thank you Fisher Thermo Scientific for your unwavering support.
