Our time to say thanks!

Community generosity has without a doubt revolutionized cancer care at The Ottawa Hospital. On June 7, 2012 we celebrated the commitment of several location companies and organizations during a special ceremony.

Verna Bartlett, Randy McCoy, and Larry Strickland all of DataKinetics stand in front of the donor wall, celebrating those who have supported cancer care and research at The Ottawa Hospital. The employees of DataKinetics have supported cancer care and research through their employee workplace campaigns.

Thank you to everyone who has helped change the lives of our patients through their involvement and to those who have recently renewed their commitment.

Century 21

Agents and staff of Century 21 have made a difference in the lives of many cancer patients through their generosity. By donating a percentage of their quarterly profits they purchased a new Chemotherapy Recliner Chair for The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre.

Mr. Lube

April was a month of giving at three Mr. Lube locations in the region. One dollar from every engine flush at the Orleans, Barrhaven and Kanata locations supported cancer care at The Ottawa Hospital. This was the second year for their generosity which has helped us build a better hospital and provide world-class care for our patients.

UBM TechInsights

Cancer researchers at The Ottawa Hospital are now better equipped thanks to staff at UBM TechInsights. The company launched its inaugural campaign in support of The Ottawa Hospital Foundation in late spring and the response was overwhelming. Thanks to their generosity, two DNA Spinners were purchased. In addition, a Dinamap Machine used to monitor vital signs such as a patient’s temperature and pulse, was also purchased for the Cancer Centre. Funds were raised in part through a poker tournament and a relay race.
