DID YOU KNOW?
The Civic had a mascot! His name was Sammy, and the following memory was submitted by Joan C, a Registered Nurse at our hospital from 1982 to 2013.
“Mrs. Ida Davis, coordinator of the employee suggestion program, notified me that my suggestion of the Civic having a mascot was accepted. I received $50 as a prize! I suggested a lion for the mascot, and we were the first of many to follow having a lion e.g. the Ottawa Senators hockey team. Strength, fearlessness, leadership, loyalty to the pack. All noble traits.”
