New tech allows physicians to see more patients in a day
Our hospital has launched a trial of Microsoft’s Dragon Ambient eXperience (DAX) Copilot, an AI ambient listening solution that, with patient consent, transcribes what is discussed at the appointment and generates a secure medical note draft for the physician to review that the patient can access through MyChart. Trial evaluation is ongoing but has already shown that physicians saved time on charting, while Emergency Department (ED) physicians using Copilot are seeing an average of two more patients per shift.
