But that’s exactly what happened one day in 1954 when Colonel Wurtel found himself as a patient at the Civic on his daughter’s wedding day. A very special moment unfolded in his room when the bride and all her bridesmaids paid him a special visit and pinned a father-of-the-bride corsage on his shirt.
