My daughter, Susan, was born at the Civic Hospital 50 years ago. We had emigrated from Ireland 18 months before and brought two children with us. My first two births were hard and not good memories, but when I went in, in labour, to the Civic, the experience was totally different. The nurses were wonderful and I’ll never forget how kind and gentle they were. I have had a few surgeries in the Civic myself, with good results and great care. Thanks for the memories!
