I remember when Princess Diana came to visit in 1991 she was so graceful and very friendly. I also remember when we had two big nurseries for viewing and all the babies stayed there for most of the time while the moms would rest. The old maternity ward which has been converted to the MFM unit and ultrasound. Our nursing station has a staff lounge with ashtrays because you were allowed to smoke there on your breaks. I remember sitting on the big front steps on our breaks and lunches and then walked inside the hospital where they had a little convenience store that we could buy candy and licorice. We also had the stop gap which was a mini cafeteria where main admitting is now located that sold the most amazing fresh homemade pie slices.
