44 years ago my mother who had immigrated to Canada from India gave birth to me at the Civic; 44 years later I am proud to say that I am a speech pathologist who has been employed with The Ottawa Hospital for over 10 years and presently working at the Civic with the neurology service helping patients who have experienced a stroke. Whenever a patient and/or family member asks where I am from I really enjoy sharing my full circle moment.
