The recent Canada Post strike may have you wondering about your holiday gift and how you can make an impact. While postal service has resumed, Canada Post is still experiencing delays in processing and delivery, which may result in mailed donations taking longer to reach us – and mailed tax receipts taking longer to reach you.

How can I make a gift today?
There are several ways to give and make an immediate impact:

  • Online: Make your gift securely here
  • By Phone: Call us at 613-761-4295 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • In Person: Visit us at one of our Foundation offices. Donation drop boxes are conveniently located outside our Foundation offices at the General and Civic campuses
  • By Mail: Please note – mailed donations may take longer to reach us.

I’ve already mailed a donation—when will it be received?
Due to the postal strike, mailed donations will take longer to reach us. We will process your gift as soon as possible once it arrives.

When will I receive my tax receipt?
Our team is working hard to send out all tax receipts as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience! If you would like to receive your tax receipt sooner, please contact us and we will send it by email.

If my donation is received after December 31, will it still qualify for a 2024 tax receipt?
Donations post marked by Canada Post on or before December 31, 2024 will qualify for a tax receipt.

Will my gift still be matched?
Yes! All gifts made online or by phone before December 31, 2024 will still qualify to make double the impact. Cheques dated on or before December 31, 2024 will also qualify.

Thank you for your support and understanding!
